A military veteran, Captain Geoffrey joined the South African (National) Defence Force (SANDF) at a very young age, where he acquired and achieved a wealth of knowledge and experience, ranging from, but not limited to, basic military training chief instructor, rural, urban, and conventional warfare, peacekeeping, and peace enforcement operations in Africa, and under the auspices of the United Nations (UN). He completed numerous military command courses that prepared him to fulfill his command; he thus excelled in both military operations and peacetime training interventions back home.

In his book, “Self-Defence Has No Rules,” he acknowledges that the fear of advocating for ourselves, asserting our opinions when necessary, or engaging in physical self-defence can often be a significant obstacle in life. A lack of training and preparedness contributes to that buildup of fear. I know all about fear. I grew up in a community where fear was the norm.
