She is a leading South African information and knowledge management expert. With a PhD in Information Science from UNISA and an impressive array of qualifications, she exemplifies dedication and excellence. Dr. Mabaso is the former Chairperson of the National Library of South Africa and the current chairperson of Kitso Lesedi. Her roles extend to being a Council Member of the National Heritage Council and a Board Member of the Knowledge Management Global Network. She also leads the International Science Council’s Data Committee. Her diverse expertise and leadership continue to shape the world’s knowledge management landscape.

She has converted her groundbreaking thesis into a book entitled Information Governance Framework and is working on a memoir entitled “The Gift of Singleness.”
